A Milestone for Employment and Growth
March 7, 2024, marked a pivotal moment for employment and economic progress in Morocco. In the distinguished presence of Dr. Younes Sekkouri, Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills (MIEPEEC), a landmark Framework Agreement was signed between LEONI Maroc and the National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills (ANAPEC).
This significant agreement strengthens the partnership between ANAPEC and LEONI Maroc, a key player in Morocco’s automotive wiring sector. With operations in Ain Sebâa, Berrechid, Bouskoura, and Agadir, LEONI Maroc employs over 17,000 people, making a substantial contribution to the national economy.
The agreement outlines plans to address LEONI Maroc’s growing recruitment needs, targeting the addition of 15,000 new employees by 2026. ANAPEC will play a crucial role in supporting LEONI Maroc through recruitment drives, candidate sourcing, and facilitating training, while LEONI Maroc is committed to maintaining transparent recruitment processes and rigorous training standards.
During his visit to the LEONI Berrechid site, Dr. Younes Sekkouri had the opportunity to meet with 800 beneficiaries of the AWRACH 2 program, a government-backed initiative. This collaboration between the public and private sectors is expected to create sustainable job opportunities and facilitate professional integration. AWRACH 2 contributes to reducing recruitment costs while simultaneously driving Morocco's socioeconomic development.
The success of this Framework Agreement and the AWRACH 2 initiative reflect Morocco’s steadfast commitment to strengthening its industries and generating quality job opportunities. They embody the trust and collaboration among ANAPEC, the government, and LEONI Maroc, all working together for a prosperous future.
These milestones represent our shared dedication to the nation’s prosperity and well-being. Together, we continue to build a brighter tomorrow.
