LEONI Morocco Breaks Ground on BSK5, Its New Production Facility in Bouskoura
The BSK5 groundbreaking ceremony took place on June 11, 2026, at the Bouskoura Industrial Park in Nouaceur Province, attended by senior Moroccan government officials and LEONI Group leadership: Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade, Mohamed Mhidia, Wali of the Casablanca-Settat Region, Jalal Benhayoun, Governor of Nouaceur Province, Andreas Krifka, CFO of LEONI Group, Dr. Anis Kammoun, COO of LEONI Wiring Systems, and Hicham Hannioui, Managing Director and Country Manager of LEONI Morocco.
With a total investment of MAD 640 million, BSK5 represents one of LEONI Morocco's most significant industrial commitments to date. The future facility, covering nearly 35,000 m², will become LEONI's twelfth production site in Morocco and will create approximately 4,000 direct and indirect jobs.
Beyond its scale, BSK5 will incorporate state-of-the-art production equipment, advanced digital solutions, a dedicated Training Center focused on skills development, and an Innovation & R&D Center centered on next-generation automotive wiring systems. This focus on innovation reflects LEONI's ambition to make its Moroccan operations a genuine center of expertise and value creation within the Group's global network.
For more than 55 years, LEONI has maintained a presence in Morocco and today employs nearly 20,000 talented professionals across its production sites. BSK5 confirms Morocco's positioning as an industrial, technological and export hub within LEONI's global network, at a time of profound transformation across the global automotive industry.
"Together, we are not just building a factory. We are building the future of mobility."
